Pre-Licensing Education

Also known as Real Estate Sales Agent Course

The Utah Division of Real Estate requires 120 hours of pre-licensing education, prior to taking the Real Estate Sales Agent Licensing Exam. Our 120-Sales course is an approved course by the Utah DRE. Classes are offered live and/or online, which maximizes flexibility without sacrificing quality instruction. The cost of the course is $595 which includes your textbook, all classes, school exams and a final review class which will better prepare you for taking the state exam. Tutoring also available at no additional cost.

You can begin this course at anytime, and take classes at your own pace. You can complete up to 8 hours of class per day, making it possible to complete the course in as little as 31/2 weeks! However, you have the option of spreading classes out and completing it over the period of 12 months. Average students complete this course in 6-8 weeks.

State Exam Procedures

After completing the Pre-licensing Course, you are required to pass a licensing exam before applying for a license with the State of Utah.

The Real Estate Sales Agent, Broker and Mortgage State exams are offered through the state approved exam provider, Pearson Vue. Testing locations throughout Utah include Ogden, Midvale and Orem. Other locations offering the Utah licensing exams are in Grand Junction, CO and Las Vegas, NV.
